Founded in Faith and the desire to pursue excellence in making beautiful wines, the Watson Family began Sunset Valley Vineyards. We began working with Nicholas Keeler of Authentique Cellars in crafting wines of elegance and longevity.

25 years ago Jesse Watson envisioned a vineyard and winery in the Sunset Valley a joining his in-laws farm that was homesteaded by Don and Jeanne Strickland. The vineyard is on the Northern south facing bench. Our soils are loams to sandy loams with varying amounts of fine gravel and in the subsurface horizons gravelly lenses or st

The vineyard is on the Northern south facing bench. Our soils are loams to sandy loams with varying amounts of fine gravel and in the subsurface horizons gravelly lenses or strata are common, whereas proximately the southern half of the field has relatively uniform silt loams with little to no gravel.
Our Wines
We are blessed to make wines from two different regions: Willamette Valley AVA and the Snake River Valley AVA. Our wines are focused on protecting the elegance of the fruit of each varietal making sure they are balanced, and the aromatics are long and layered.
